Fort Worth-based AZZ incorporated, has quickly become the nation’s largest galvanizer, owning and operating 22 hot-dip galvanizing plants strategically located nationwide.

Today’s success-conscious professionals in the steel product industries, including contractors, engineers and architects, rely on hot-dip galvanizing to enhance the quality, longevity and safety of their work. To help illustrate the effectiveness and sustainable qualities of galvanized steel, AZZ called on Witherspoon to develop a print advertising campaign aimed at its target markets. Congratulations to Alexis Fernandez! Alexis has been a solid hand as an intern here at Witherspoon, and has contributed efforts on behalf of several clients. She graduates in May from TCU and is off to work full time in management for Walt Disney’s Magic Kingdom in Orlando. Mickey ears to all!

Creative Director Marcus Dickerson’s wife Allie has been accepted into the graduate  painting program at TCU. An accomplished artist, her work has been in galleries throughout the United States, including Fort Worth and New York City.

The Fort Worth Stock Show Syndicate honored Mike Wilie with the chairman’s award for service to the group. This award salutes the work of the Witherspoon team who have designed and produced the materials to market and promote the Fort Worth Stock Show’s Sale of Champions for the past three years. Held the last Saturday of the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo, the 2010 sale raised a record $2.774 million.

Power Service Products and John Robinson both know a lot about getting the most out of diesel engines. Power Service Products manufactures the world’s No. 1 selling brand of diesel fuel additives, and John Robinson – owner of the world’s very first diesel-powered funny car – is testing the limits of what a diesel-powered engine can achieve on the racetrack. Both call Weatherford, Texas, home, so it was just a matter of time before the two got together to put the pedal to the metal. This spring, Witherspoon helped coordinate Power Service Products’ 2010 sponsorship of the Power Service Diesel-Powered Funny Car, including graphic treatment for the car, hauling rigs, uniforms, specification and autograph card, and fan handouts along with public relations initiatives. Be sure to look for the car, which competes in the National Hot Rod Diesel Association’s (NHRDA) Drag Race Series and makes exhibition appearances in several of the National Hot Rod Association’s Events (which can be seen on ESPN2).

Perrone Pharmacy is a Fort Worth institution with nearly six decades of history. Building upon its experience and established relationships, the company decided to expand into prescription benefit management. Perrone called on Witherspoon to create an identity package that featured a logo and letterhead ensemble, as well as a corporate brochure. Witherspoon also developed a micro-site in support of sales efforts. Click here to see Web site. Click here to see more.

The folks at Hest Technologies had a great idea – make donating to charities fun! Witherspoon was called on to design a custom wrap for the charitable sweepstakes kiosks along with a retail brochure to help market the concept. High-energy photography was needed to give the kiosk and brochure the look and feel desired, so an on-site photo shoot was organized. Both the wrap and the brochure were well beyond the client’s expectations.
